To find out if our approach was having an impact, in 2013 we began a project evaluate our impact using a contribution analysis. The project reviewed the role of intermediary organisations and the different ways they operate.<\/p>\n
We reviewed the literature that inspires IRISS staff, conducted 45 interviews with people who use IRISS\u2019 resources and surveyed Scottish social services sector about IRISS\u2019 reach and impact.<\/p>\n
One of the outputs of this research is a theory of change of intermediary work \u2013 a narrative which describes the journey from inputs and activities to outputs and outcomes.<\/p>\n
